Engineering
Overview
Engineers must be critical yet creative, and ready to handle the constantly changing world. The wide range of disciplines that fall under the engineering title means that no matter what your interests are, there’s bound to be a facet of the sector you’ll find enticing and engaging.
In an advanced technological world, we need engineers to bring ideas into reality. By applying the principles of mathematics and science, engineers develop solutions to the world’s biggest technical issues. You could find yourself building new bridges or developing electrical sockets for refugee camps, working on special effects for blockbuster movies, or testing aerospace products.
Through the Engineering Area of Study, you will be introduced to the general engineering curriculum that builds the foundation for upper-level engineering specialties when you transfer to a four-year school. The courses also complete the general education requirements for most baccalaureate degrees.
